About us
The Rui Da Silva Foundation is a human-centered foundation dedicated to advancing dignity, well-being, education, digital literacy, health, self-generative ecosystems, and meaningful progress for Humanity. Our projects bring together the unlimited human potential, philanthropy, science, technology, to transcend into a present and future where people and communities can thrive in greater balance, freedom, purpose and excellence in our cosmos.
Who We Are
The Foundation exists to contribute to a world where essential human needs and higher human potential are both taken seriously. It seeks to help create conditions in which people have access not only to survival, but also to learning, contribution, peace, health, opportunity, and meaningful development.
The Foundation recognizes the connection between global resource mismanagement and some of the greatest challenges facing humanity today — including poverty, hunger, instability, environmental degradation, and conflict. These are not isolated problems, but interdependent outcomes of deeper systemic failures. Science and technology can help alleviate many symptoms, but they are not enough on their own if the underlying systems remain misaligned with human dignity and long-term planetary well-being.
That is why the Foundation seeks not only to respond to immediate needs, but also to contribute to more intelligent, ethical, and life-serving models for the future.
The President's Message
There is a moment in every person's life when they stop asking what the world can give them and start asking what they can give the world.
For me, that moment did not arrive suddenly. It built slowly — through decades of building companies, studying human potential, raising a family, learning from failure, and refusing to accept that the limitations around us are permanent.
I was born in Paris, France and moved to Portugal when I was 7 years old. I built my life in Portugal and Canada. I have lived between cultures, languages, and worldviews long enough to understand one fundamental truth: the challenges humanity faces today are not the result of a lack of resources, intelligence, or technology. They are the result of misalignment — between what we know and what we do, between what we build and why we build it, between the power we have developed and the wisdom we have yet to fully apply.
The Rui Da Silva Foundation exists because I believe we can do better. Not as a slogan — but as a commitment backed by real work, real projects, real community, and real accountability.
Through education, digital literacy, philanthropy, science, and technology, this Foundation is working to help individuals and communities move toward dignity, well-being, peace, resilience, and self-generative flourishing. We align ourselves with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals because we share the conviction that these goals represent the minimum standard of a civilized future — not the ceiling.
That is why we go further. Through three expanded pillars — AI Singularity Symbiosis, Humanity Existential Security, and Universal Purpose — we are asking the harder questions that the next generation will demand answers to. How do we ensure that artificial intelligence serves life rather than exploits it? How do we build civilizations resilient enough to survive their own complexity? How do we help people reconnect with meaning, contribution, and transcendence in a world that increasingly optimizes for distraction?
These are not abstract questions. They are the foundation of every project we build, every event we host, every book we write, and every partnership we pursue.
I do not have all the answers. But I have the commitment, the team, the vision, and — most importantly — the belief that the people who will help solve these challenges are already alive today. Many of them are reading this right now.
This Foundation is for them. And for those who come after.
